About Darley

Darley is HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s global thoroughbred stallion operation, which currently stands stallions in six countries around the world. Its headquarters are at Dalham Hall Stud, located on the outskirts of Newmarket, the historic home of racing.

Dubawi currently heads the line-up of thoroughbred stallions at Dalham Hall. He is one of the world’s most successful stallions and a son of one of the most famous stallions to stand at Dalham Hall – Dubai Millennium.

Kildangan Stud in County Kildare, Ireland, was purchased in 1986 and is now home to a number of Darley's thoroughbred stallions, including Exceed And Excel, the world’s number one sire of two-year-olds.

Darley also has a racehorse breeding stud in Japan which stands triple G1 winner and Horse of the Year Admire Moon. He stands alongside King’s Best — sire of Japan Derby and Tenno Sho winner Eishin Flash. Also standing at Darley in Japan is another Dubai World Cup winner, Monterosso.

Darley in Australia was established with the purchase of Kelvinside Stud in the famous Hunter Valley, New South Wales, in 2003. The property has been developed into a world-class racehorse breeding facility with the capacity to stand up to 18 stallions. As Darley's Australian breeding business expanded, another property was acquired in 2006, this time in Victoria. Northwood Park is a historic horse and cattle property and can stand a further 12 stallions. Darley’s Australian studs stand many stallions including Champions Exceed And Excel and Lonhro.
