The Daisy Mountain Fire District was formed in January 1988. The district encompasses roughly 100 square miles in the north central section of Maricopa County, Arizona. The district is governed by a five-member elected fire board. The department protects the citizen's of Anthem, Desert Hills and New River with four fire stations staffed with 88 sworn personnel as well as additional support staff. The Daisy Mountain Fire Department currently staffs a fleet of four paramedic engine companies, one ladder company, two paramedic rescues (ambulance), and one battalion command unit. In addition, the department maintains a fleet of support apparatus, including a hazardous materials support unit with tox-medic capability, several water tankers, several brush trucks, and several support and staff vehicles. The Daisy Mountain Fire Department is a member of the Phoenix Regional Automatic Aid System.

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is a program designed to educate and train community members in basic disaster response skills. Daisy Mountain Fire & Medical Department supports CERT by providing training in areas such as fire safety, medical operations, and search and rescue. The goal is to empower citizens to assist themselves and their neighbors during emergencies when professional responders may be delayed.
