The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office is the third largest law enforcement agency in the state of Maine. Situated in the south-central part of the state, our coverage area includes the Maine coastline to the border with New Hampshire. We service the largest population in the state consisting of over 280,000 citizens. This number swells during the summer tourist months.The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office has a 258-year tradition of honor in service with a focus on community partnership.
