CTruk has rapidly established itself as a market leader for the provision of twin-hulled, composite vessels for the offshore wind sector; with its CTruk MPC19 multi-purpose catamaran, CTruk SWATH20 and amphibious rescue craft proven in the harsh environment of the North Sea. These boats are fast, robust and cost-effective, with superb load-carrying capabilities from a very stable platform. CTruk’s success is based on its innovative approach to design and build. The company utilises a cutting-edge vacuum infusion process to build composite boats to the highest standards, saving up to 40% on weight and resulting in excellent fuel efficiency. Since launching in 2010 the CTruk team has built numerous offshore wind farm support vessels, including two ground-breaking SWATH (Small Waterplane Area Twin Hull) designs for smoother transit in seas of up to 2m significant wave height. In 2013 the company delivered its first CTruk MPC19 built to Bureau Veritas (BV) | x HULL • MACH Wind Farms Service Ship–S1 classification rules. As well as building vessels to full BV class, CTruk offers standard craft built to DNV or BV letters of compliance.Having identified applications for these innovative twin hull vessels in the military and security and disaster relief sectors, the company also completed the first-in-class of its multi-role 11m military craft, CTruk THOR11 FPC variant in 2013. CTruk’s Military & Security Division can supply vessels in the 11m to 30m range for coastal patrol, force protection, riverine patrol, dive support, hydro graphic survey, fisheries patrol, oil spill response, general work boats and disaster relief.Innovation and R&D are the starting points for every CTruk project and the core of the company’s business, with the company mantra of 'safer, better, faster, more cost-effective' permeating through all stages of design and build.
