About Compassion Evangelical Hospital
Compassion Evangelical Hospital, located in Mamou, Guinea, opened in 2007, starting with out-patient care, diagnostic services and a pharmacy. In 2009, 16 beds were added for patients who need extra care. In 2010 a surgical unit was added. The hospital's long-term goal is to conduct 45,000 consultations annually and to offer complete hospital services, with additional beds to care for 80 in-patients. Funding is needed from foundations, churches, and individuals to subsidize the cost of operations. Modest fees are charged to the patients. CEH is run by a Volunteer Board of Directors and Administration with paid staff at the hospital in Mamou, Guinea. Please check out the website for more details.
