Founded in 2014 in Waterloo, Ontario, Cognitive Systems Corp. is on a mission to realize the incredible potential of wireless signals to enhance our quality of life at home. Drawing on our expertise in silicon design, radio frequency (RF) technology and cryptography, we developed a new way of interpreting and using wireless signals. Called WiFi Motion™, this solution brings wireless motion sensing capabilities with unprecedented accuracy to the smart home market with limitless applications. Today, we license the complete WiFi Motion Stack for use in routers, mesh routers, and other home gateways. We partner with ISPs and chipset manufacturers to enable WiFi-connected devices to see and interpret motion, bringing contextual awareness and user behaviour insights to the smart home. Our first commercial product launched at CES in January 2020.
