About CN Centre
The CN Centre is a multi-purpose event facility built for sports and entertainment in Prince George, British Columbia.
STATS & HIGHLIGHTS
The CN Centre hosts many professional and amateur sports, community gatherings, exhibitions, rodeos, monster trucks, plus internationally renowned entertainment events: recently Carrie Underwood, Jerry Seinfeld, KISS, Elton John, the Blue Man Group, Mötley Crüe, just to name few.
The CN Centre is located on Exhibition Grounds which links to three Kincentre arenas, creating a multi-functional four arena complex. In addition, there is a natural Olympic Size outdoor ice oval, which is open during the winter months, Sports Centre which is home to Gymnastics Association, an indoor and outdoor riding arena for the PG Horse Society and over 8 acres of paved parking.
The CN Centre was designed by PBK Architects, opened in 1995 and is owned by the City of Prince George. Seats 5,967 and holds 14 luxury suites. It has a 200' x 85' ice surface, and is convertable to an Olympic-sized ice surface of 200' x 100'
TENANTS
Currently home to the WHL's PG Cougars ice hockey team (20 years) and was home to the PG Fury (Canadian Indoor Soccer League) for one season in 2010.
In 2015, the CN Centre will play an integral role as Prince George hosts the 2015 Canada Winter Games.
