In doing so, we improve our own understanding of the high-level objectives of the programmes. Often, the understanding we have built at this engage stage later pays off when the project needs executive support to push through a barrier.Next, we evaluate current processes, logical and physical systems architecture, issues and risks. We define the target processes and systems in the context of the business requirements and then create a plan to deliver that target.In the engineer stage, we build and test the solution to exacting standards. Transparency and regular monitoring of progress allow problems to be discovered early and addressed with minimum impact.It isn’t over at ‘go live’. CMC secures return on investment for the client by ensuring the programme benefits are delivered and internal staff are educated through effective knowledge transfer. We embed processes effectively, involving BAU teams in operational design and testing. This yields a better solution and a more efficient post-live process and enables the clients’ business to react more quickly and cost effectively to future change.
