The City of Tucson's Environmental & General Services Department manages a citywide Brownfields Grant Program. The Program enables successful redevelopment of environmentally impacted properties by providing grant monies to property owners and prospective purchasers to cover the costs associated with completing Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments and Asbestos and Lead Surveys. The main focus of the program is to support and enhance infill development, revitalize and restore the downtown business district, major gateways, and Tucson's key historical landmarks, while preserving the Sonoran Desert landscape.
