A CIMPOR, líder nacional no setor cimenteiro, nasceu da fusão de 7 cimenteiras portuguesas em março de 1976 . Com 44 anos de existência, a empresa tornou-se uma sociedade anónima em 1991, com a designação CIMPOR-CIMENTOS DE PORTUGAL, S.A., e mais tarde, em 2012, passou a ser detida pelo Grupo Brasileiro Camargo Corrêa.Em 2019, a CIMPOR foi adquirida pela OYAK, um dos maiores grupos industriais Turcos, líder de mercado com operação em 7 regiões geográficas da Turquia, com capacidade anual de produção de 22,5 milhões de toneladas de cimento. ::CIMPOR, the national leader in the cement sector, was born from the merger of 7 Portuguese cement companies in March 1976.With 44 years of existence, the company was constituted as a public limited company, becoming CIMPOR-CIMENTOS DE PORTUGAL, S.A., and later in 2012, became owned by the Brazilian group Camargo Corrêa.In 2019 CIMPOR was acquired by OYAK, one of the largest Turkish industrial groups, leader in its market, operating in 7 geographical regions of Turkey, with an annual production capacity of 22.5 million tons of cement.
