Indie artisan chocolate company based in Dorset & winners of 100 fine food awards since 2003. Born in Purbeck, Dorset in 2002 by Claire & Andy Burnet, Chococo was the first UK premium chocolate brand to focus on creating truly fresh chocolates using local fresh ingredients and has since expanded into small batch gelato production, hot chocolate flakes & bakery items, all handcrafted with ethically sourced fine single origin chocolate & local, seasonal ingredients where possible. The primary focus is on direct to consumer channels with its online & corporate gifts service and four Chocolate Houses in Swanage, Winchester, Exeter & Horsham. Chococo also supplies premium retailers, including Liberty & Wholefoods Market, and independent food shops around the UK. Co-founder Claire Burnet also wrote the Chococo Chocolate Cookbook, published by Ryland Peters & Small in February 2011.
