CHISWICK SCHOOL

Chiswick School is a thriving secondary academy situated in a leafy part of West London. The school is a true comprehensive and as such is open to students of all backgrounds and ability profiles. In recent years the school has undergone something of a transformation with results improving year on year and student numbers increasing, to the point where the school is now over subscribed and with our reputation now strong in the local area.We converted to Academy status in March 2012 and since this time there has been considerable investment in improving a school environment that had remained stagnant for far too many years. The building is now an inviting and happy place suitable for modern learning.Our students, parents and staff have fully bought into this transformation; we are now all pulling in the same direction to the point where further improvement is almost inevitable.We have IIP status for the last decade and secured Gold status last year. Our staff are important to us and we try to look after them and do everything that we can to assist the difficult and emotionally demanding job of teaching. Our support staff play an equal role in ensuring that Chiswick students receive an offer that is both consistent and high quality.We are about to embark upon a major building project that will see the school grow and expand from 215 students in each year of entry, to 270 by September 2018. The building programme will make a difference, but alongside this we are developing the curriculum in exciting ways, as we realise that results are important; but in themselves do not build a whole education.
