Chemical Engineering Department Ankara Univ

Our department was founded in 1943 with the aim of educating chemical engineers who have been needed for the development of the country following the idea initiated by Atatürk. Otto Gerngross, a professor of Berlin Technische Hochschule joined to the department in 1947 and the duration of education was designated to be 5 years to graduate engineers with M.Sc. degree. In 1976, 4-year undergraduate chemical engineering program was initiated. Since 2003-2004 academic year, undergraduate program has been accredited by MÜDEK and has a valid European Accreditation of Engineering Programmes (EUR-ACE) label. Our department offers Bachelor of Science, Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degree programs.
