The commitment to quality combined with the competence of a worthy faculty are just some of the factors that makes the Center for Information Technology (CIN)-UFPE one of the best and largest academic centers of technology in Latin America. Created officially in 1999, the CIN has over 30 years of experience, as is the natural evolution of the former Department of Information Technology. The course of CIN offers Bachelor of Computer Science, providing 100 places per year, and the course in Computer Engineering with 50 new places each year. The national and international recognition is, mainly, the high academic level of their faculty, currently formed by 54 PhD and 3 Masters, and won awards over the years.
