About Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group

The Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) purchases and maintains military equipment and supplies in the quantities and to the service levels that are required by Defence and approved by Government.

CASG manages nationally significant projects that are un-paralleled in their size, cost, timescale, risk profile and level of technological complexity our core business is to deliver cutting edge capabilities to the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

We are committed to ongoing reform as a means of delivering equipment and sustainment to the ADF on time, on budget and to the required capability, safety and quality.

Our annual priorities and funding plans are set out in the Department's annual Portfolio Budget Statements, and our performance is analysed and reviewed in the Major Projects Report and the Defence Annual Report.
