We are California’s leading independent, population-based research organization. Our mission is to prevent cancer and reduce its burden where it cannot yet be prevented.At CPIC, we are dedicated to finding the knowledge needed to stop cancer from ever starting. That new knowledge will come only from innovative, well-designed, rigorous research. Our scientists conduct ground-breaking research to understand the causes of cancer, find ways to prevent it and detect it early, and improve care for cancer survivors. We partner with many scientists, academic institutions and community agencies in the U.S. and around the world in pursuit of our mission.
