CalStar Products, based in Durham, NC, develops and manufactures sustainable building products that allow green architects and specifiers to dramatically reduce the energy and CO2 footprint of their projects and incorporate significant recycled materials, without compromising building performance or budgets.
CalStar uses innovative technology to make architectural facing bricks, durable pavers, and Thru-Wall units. Our products contain 30% to 37% post-industrial recycled material, require up to 81% less energy to make, and generate up to 84% less CO2 than traditional fired clay bricks and pavers.
Founded in Silicon Valley and headquartered in North Carolina, CalStar’s mission encompasses national priorities of supporting energy independence, mitigating climate change, preserving natural resources, recycling industrial by-products, and creating green jobs. We operate two manufacturing plants (Racine, WI and Columbus, MS) and maintain an R&D facility in the Silicon Valley.
