Athletic trainers are health care professionals who specialize in the provision of physical medicine and rehabilitation services, serving as physician extenders in the prevention, assessment and treatment of acute and chronic injuries and illnesses.Members receive organization and professional news, education opportunity information and state legislation information.Membership dues also contribute to legislative support for state regulation, a (future) state licensing committee, youth sport safety legislation, and once licensure is obtained, towards maintaining licensure in our state.
