The Burns & Scalo partnership began over five decades ago in 1956, when John T. Scalo and Richard "Duke" Burns shared a common vision: to be the very best at whatever they did. Beginning as a two-man residential roofing company, Burns & Scalo quickly grew into a successful operation in the Pittsburgh region.The company has experienced consistent growth and was nationally recognized in 2015 as the top commercial roofing contractor in the nation, employing over 250 people regionally. Burns & Scalo is headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and serves the entire Mid-Atlantic / Eastern seaboard region with a branch office strategically located in Columbus Ohio. The company celebrated its 60th year in business in 2016 and welcomed the third generation into the business. Burns & Scalo operates together with 7 distinct and strategic additional Scalo owned companies.
