British International School Phuket (BISP) is a leading British day and boarding school in Thailand (est. 1996). It caters for students aged from 18 months (Little Ducks), through the Primary years up to Secondary school graduation when students are typically aged 18 years.
After following the UK National Curriculum in Early Years, Primary, and Secondary Key Stage Three, students study for their Cambridge IGCSEs (years 10 and 11) and International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma (years 12 and 13). British International School Phuket Thailand graduates continue their studies at prestigious universities and colleges all over the world.
Located on a spacious green 39 acre purpose built campus on the northern outskirts of Phuket Town, the school can be conveniently accessed from anywhere on Phuket island and through the international airport. BISP’s international boarding students can easily fly home to Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Korea, China or within Thailand.
Neil Richards MBE, the Headmaster of British International School Phuket Thailand took up his position in 2011. Previously he was Headmaster of several leading international schools including UWC Atlantic College (UK) and Yokohama International School (Japan).
BIS Phuket has recently established the International Learning Centre (ILC), expanding its provision to lifelong learning for the wider Phuket, Thailand and international communities offering language courses and in-service training for teachers and other professionals.
A particular focus of the ILC is to support the BISP community to ‘Learn about Learning’. BISP is a member of the International School Association of Thailand (ISAT) and is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and NEASC.
