About Brevard Democratic Executive Committee

The Democratic Executive Committee (DEC) is the governing body of the Democratic Party in Brevard County, Florida. Chartered under the Florida Democratic Party (FDP), we are charged with maintaining and building relationships between constituents in Brevard County and their elected officials at the local, state, and national levels.

Our membership is composed of Democratic citizens who seek active participation in the decision-making process of the party on a county level. Membership is divided by precincts, with one man and one woman for every one-thousand registered Democrats in that precinct.

Our ultimate goal is to foster the growth of an increased Democratic presence throughout Brevard County. By strengthening our Democratic foundation,w e are able to recruit future candidates, pursue Democratic ideals and initiatives, and most importantly win elections in the county, state and nation.

Our Goals


* To promote individual freedom within the framework of a just society, and political freedom within the framework of meaningful participation by all citizens.
* To elect Democrats as our representatives on the County, State, and National levels.
* To strengthen the base of the Democratic Party through community outreach and visibility.
* To further Democratic causes and initiatives that will benefit all demographic areas and groups.
