For over 50 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida have played an integral role in equipping our Club Members with the skills and tools they need to reach their full potential. The Northeast Florida Boys & Girls Clubs provide a safe, clean environment for our Club Members to engage in fun, immersive programs with caring and professional staff. Our Mission:Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida exist to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us the most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.Our History:Chartered on July 23, 1962, the Boys' Club of Jacksonville opened its first location, the Laurence F. Lee Club, in April 1966 at Liberty and 10th Streets. Our Impact:The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida open the doors of opportunity for over 8,000 young people in Duval, Nassau and St. Johns counties, annually. Our Clubs are committed to providing quality after-school programming every weekday to youth, ages 6 to 18. Strategically located to serve those who need us most, our Clubs operate in neighborhoods at greater risk of poverty, school failure, poor health outcomes and risky behaviors. At Boys & Girls Clubs, our aim is to give our Club Members the skills they need to overcome obstacles, succeed in life and become responsible citizens. 90% of our members are promoted to the next grade level before summer school 100% of our middle and high school members have not become teen mothers 95% of our members have not entered the juvenile justice system
