1956 – In the small town of St-Émile, next to Québec City and the Huron Native Indian Reserve, Misters Auclair & Martineau started to make their own hand made moccasins in their basement. They crafted their first moccasins the same way their ancestors made them for centuries, using only natural leather carefully selected in order to ensure a product of superior quality. Misters Auclair & Martineau’s moccasins were then very well known for their comfort and quality. Over the years, millions of pairs of moccasins were made by people of St-Émile for the greatest pleasure of World Wide customers and their feet. In 1993, Auclair & Martineau Inc. launched the AMIMOC brand: a specific collection of moccasins made and designed the original way and crafted by masters! Today, AMIMOC is the pride of Auclair & Martineau Inc. and gives back to moccasins the recognition it deserves. Nowadays, Amimoc still respect the tradition and get its root from the rich history of Native people. But just like the Native, Amimoc has brought a taste of modernity to the moccasins styling by created unique patterns and mixing tons of colors and materials
