Boston Green Academy

Boston Green Academy is a Horace Mann 'in-district' charter school within the Boston Public Schools. Enrolling 340 students from across Boston in grades 9-12, BGA successfully turned around a struggling district high school and has built a strong, innovative program focused on the needs of students. To better serve our students and community, BGA will expand to grades 6-12 starting in 2013. BGA ensures that all of its students—especially those students who have struggled—will graduate prepared for success in college and the workforce. We prepare all of our students to be leaders in environmental stewardship and activism, to live their lives responsibly and sustainably, and to be prepared to succeed in the burgeoning “green” economy.
