Black Gold School Division is the seventh largest public school division in Alberta with approximately 12,000 students in 32 schools. Formed in 1995, Black Gold has more than 20 years of experience in “Inspiring Success” in our communities of Beaumont, Calmar, Devon, Leduc, New Humble, New Sarepta, Thorsby and Warburg. As a Division, we provide the highest possible standard of educational opportunities including a full inclusive education program, second language instruction, extensive Career and Technology Studies (CTS) programs, as well as specialized support and disabilities services to Grades 1 - 12, along with Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten. Every day our staff, composed of approximately 645 teachers, assistant principals and principals and 638 support staff, help to provide the highest possible standard of educational opportunities for students and create a welcoming, caring, respectful and safe environment.
