The Biophysics Resource (http://medicine.yale.edu/keck/biophysics/index.aspx) is a resource operated by Keck Foundation Biotechnology Resource Laboratory at Yale University School of Medicine, founded in 1998. We currently have resources to study oligomeric state of biomolecular assemblies, as well as thermodynamics and kinetics of macromolecular interactions using: -Multiangle laser light scattering detector (MALLS) can be used either in batch mode or in-line with a fractionation step: HELEOS II + QELS (Wyatt Technology) and DAWN EOS+QELS (wyatt Technology). -Dynamic light scattering (DLS) batch mode detector: DynaPro DLS reader (Protein Solutions) -Isothermal microcalorimetry (ITC); VP-ITC (Microcal) -Surface plasmon resonance (SPR) biosensor: BiaCore T100 system -Stopped-flow spectrofluorometer: SX.18MV Stopped-Flow Reaction Analyser (Applied Photophysics) -Spectrofluorometer: PTI-QuantaMaster (Photon Technology International) -Asymmetric flow Field-Flow Fractionation: Eclipse 3 (Wyatt Technology) -Fluorescence plate reader: SPECTRAmax GEMINI (Molecular Devices) -CD – spectrophotometer : Chiroscan (Applied Photophysics)
