Founded in 1998 with our very first store in Richmond upon Thames, we now operate from 101 stores across the UK, employing over 450 people and we are listed on the FTSE 250 London Stock Exchange. Our portfolio also includes 25 stores branded as Armadillo Self Storage, in which the Group has a 20% interest. People use Big Yellow when they need to find some extra space - often at key events in their lives. This may include house selling and moving home, carrying out home improvements, getting married or separating, starting a family, downsizing, dealing with inheritance or simply using us as a spare room when they run out of space at home. We are also home to many of Britain’s businesses who use us to store stock or as a distribution hub.
