Description
Information
“The Beloit Area Youth Wrestling Club is primarily a developmental club. Our goal is to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for the youth of the Beloit Area to explore the sport of Wrestling.” The Beloit Area Youth Wrestling Club was founded in 2007 by Doug Clark, Chris Scharmer, and Glen Swedlund, in cooperation with the head wrestling coaches of Beloit Memorial and Beloit Turner High Schools, Jason Gladowski and Matt Ries, respectively, to provide the youth of Beloit a true community wrestling club. The club is open to all youth in the Beloit area regardless of which school he or she attends. Our goal is to keep the price minimal, so every child and every family can afford to participate. Practices have alternated between Beloit Memorial’s and Beloit Turner’s wrestling rooms. Our reasoning was, in order to have a community club, the parents and youngsters would have to learn to be comfortable not only with each other, but also with each other’s schools.
