About BandTogether St. Louis

The organization is an all-volunteer community band and provides an opportunity for lesbian, gay, bisexual, straight and transgendered musicians to perform and have fun in a relaxed, friendly environment. The group does not hold auditions and welcomes anyone over the age of 18 to bring his or her musical talent to the band.

The BandAides are volunteers – partners and friends – who act as hosts at concerts and help the band in the production and promotion of the band. As a volunteer, you can help us by being an usher, stage hand, greeter and more…we can always use your help and expertise.

The BandFriends provide monetary support throughout the year. All performances are free, so the band relies on the generous support of its patrons to help us pay expenses and grow. All patrons are recognized in the BandTogether Rainbow of Friends list in our concert programs, unless requested to remain anonymous.Adding color and a touch of the fabulous is the BandTogether Color Guard. This group performs with the marching band each summer and brings a great visual element to the sounds of the marching band.

BandTogether is a Missouri not-for-profit corporation and our invitation to participate is open to all adults (18 of age or older). Musicians of all playing abilities are welcome, as well as non-musicians who would like to take an active role in the organization.
