AUR, Inc. was founded in 1973 by Dr. Roger L. Simpson with the goal to develop unique, state-of-the-art instrumentation systems that deliver real information to understand tough flow problems. Since that time, Dr. Simpson has continuously conducted cutting-edge research to develop and apply the most advanced laser-Doppler-velocimeter (LDV) turbulence-measuring systems in the world. AUR now offers to share this extensive experience through our products and research services for solving real world flow problems facing engineers and scientists today. AUR also specializes in permanent bridge pier and abutment scour prevention through innovative and proven products. Our goal is to provide safer bridges to the public that will never be susceptible to scour and scour induced failure. Our scAUR TM products provide any existing or new bridge with continuous protection against scour for the duration of the bridge's life.
