ASL is largest fishing company in Nigeria and perhaps in West Africa, having a fleet of over 70 fishing trawlers. Prim7Stars is a seafood brand known for a high quality range of wild caught products. Approx 3.500 metric tons of tropical shrimps are caught annually & distributed worldwide by Primstar B.V.– The Netherlands. ASL has been active in shrimp trawling since the 1990s; expanding its fleet from 25 to 70 trawlers now. In 2001 ASL obtained its own Dry Dock that facilitates in-house maintenance of the whole vessel. ASL also has in-house lab, fuel bunkers, workshops & cold storage facilities. The intrinsic value of the Prim7Stars brand is based on consistency - both Quantity & Quality. FRIENDS OF THE SEA Black Tiger Prawns(Peneaus monodon) from FAO area 34 caught by ASL are in conformity with Friend of Sea Criteria for Sustainable Fisheries.
