Ashton, Leigh & Wigan Community Healthcare

We are the major provider of NHS community healthcare and therapy services in the Ashton, Leigh and Wigan areas. Our services reach approximately one third of the local population, covering all age groups from newborn babies to the elderly. We care for people with health conditions ranging from long-term conditions such as heart disease, cancer, and chronic disabilities, to short-term problems resulting from injuries. We have a team of around 1400 staff - 80 percent of whom are practising health professionals including District Nurses, specialist Nurses, Health Visitors, Dieticians, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Counsellors and Speech and Language Therapists.
