The ARRL, the American Radio Relay League. is the national association for Amateur Radio located in Newington, Connecticut. The ARRL is a noncommercial association of radio amateurs organized for the promotion of Amateur Radio communication and experimentation, for the establishment of networks to provide communications in the event of disasters or other emergencies, for the advancement of the radio art and for the representation of the radio amateur in legislative, regulatory and international matters. The ARRL publishes three periodicals, QST, NCJ and QEX and a catalog of more than 150 books about Amateur Radio.
