The ANU Energy Change Institute provides authoritative leadership in energy research, education and public policy. The ECI comprises more than 300 staff and PhD students from all seven Colleges of the University, access to over $100 million in infrastructure and facilities, supported by a major portfolio of external grant funding.Our scholars work across 20 research clusters, spanning artificial photosynthesis to wind energy.Zero-Carbon Energy for the Asia PacificIn 2018 a team led by the ANU Energy Change Institute won the University’s Grand Challenge Scheme, receiving $10 million in funding over five years for the Zero-Carbon Energy for the Asia-Pacific project.Led by Professor Ken Baldwin, Director of the Energy Change Institute, the Zero-Carbon Energy for the Asia-Pacific team is truly interdisciplinary.
