AMTAC is the story of men, men who earned their way to pursue The American Dream, through dedication, hard work and perseverance. It started its humble beginnings in their home garage as Barney Manufacturing in 1975, by Keith Barney. His goal was to achieve a highly reputable manufacturing facility. A family owned business, it quickly went from a Ma and Pa shop to a well respected manufacturing company in Aerospace, Military/Defense, Medical, Energy and more, with the collective hard work and effort of the entire family they earned recognition they well deserved. The company later re-named Barney Manufacturing to "Advance Manufacturing Technology". Keith Barney chose "Advance" so that it will be forever forward moving in all its future endeavors. CEO-President & Engineer, Anthony Barney is now the leader of Advance Manufacturing Technology and Founder of AMTAC "Advance Manufacturing Tactical". By trade Anthony Barney is an Engineer, but he is also an avid hunter, marksman and outdoorsman . After owning many suppressors from competitors that were impeding and front heavy, he decided to design a suppressor that would suit the needs through out different categories of shooters. He studied Air Flow Dynamics to manufacture suppressors that would not affect the velocity or trajectory of the bullet while being lightweight and extremely durable. This company's history of hard work ethic, forward thinking and innovation is why it is the American Dream.
