Amazing Oriental is opgericht in 1986, met een eerste toko aan de Nieuwmarkt in Amsterdam. De supermarktketen telt in Nederland inmiddels twintig vestigingen, een webshop, en er werken meer dan vijfhonderd mensen. Het hoofdkantoor van Oriental Group is gevestigd in Hoofddorp. Het aanbod van producten is in de loop der jaren uitgegroeid van zeshonderd naar meer dan tienduizend authentieke A-merken uit Azië.
