Amana Academy Charter Schools

Georgia's first K-8 Certified STEM School by the Georgia Department of Education, Amana Academy is a public charter school in the Fulton County Schools system. Amana serves 750 students in grades KG to 8 using an innovative set of educational approaches centered around the Expeditionary Learning school design model (check out http://eleducation.org/). The school is also one of only a handful of American public schools teaching Arabic as a second language (one of the six official UN languages). Amana has garnered an impressive list of accomplishments since being established in 2005 including being named Georgia Charter School of the Year by the Coca-Cola Foundation, being called "among the best charter schools in Georgia" by Georgia's State Superintendent, and recognition by the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education.
