Alliance Steel (M) Sdn Bhd (ASSB) was founded in April 2014, which is located in the biggest city of East Coast Economic Region – Kuantan, Pahang. It was located near the Kuantan port, facing the South China Sea. ASSB is a state-owned joint-stock enterprise jointly by Guangxi Beibu Gulf Port International Group Co., Ltd and Guangxi ShengLong Metallurgical Co., Ltd. This key project was driven by the China and Malaysia governments in building the most competitive and advance iron and steel enterprise in Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park (MCKIP). This project is designed by CISDI of MCC (Metallurgical Corporation of China Ltd), and constructions being carried out by State-owned enterprises such as Shanghai BaoYe Group Corp., Ltd; China 19th Metallurgical Corporation; China 22MCC Group Corporation Ltd. and Sinosteel Corporation. The total investment of this project is USD 1 billion, which covers 710 acres of land which begin its operation in 2017. ASSB mainly produce high-speed wire rod, steel bars and H-beam with a total annual capacity of 3.5 million tons. ASSB currently obtaining over 3 thousand employees, and at the same time, it is also the first iron and steel company that produce H-shape steel with complete flow technology in Malaysia. ASSB aims to be a global transnational enterprise that gathers production, processing, distribution, trading and leading metallurgical technological process. With scientific development as the theme, with innovation as driving force, ASSB staunchly insisting on going on the new industrialized road with the circular economy and sustainable development.
