Alghanim Industries acquired Costa Kuwait in July 2013. Since then, Costa Coffee has been focusing on customer service, refurbishing existing stores as well as opening new ones around Kuwait, and refreshing and broadening its product range. Costa Coffee has been in Kuwait since 1998. In February 2015, Alghanim Industries acquired the exclusive development rights to Wendy's restaurants across the MENA region. All operational outlets in the UAE were acquired as part of the deal, which currently consist of 17 locations across the country, including several locations in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, and opened 1 in Kuwait during 2016 and many more in pipeline in Kuwait and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2017.
