Founded in 1978, Aksoy Holding operates in three sectors, these being Oil & Energy, Tourism & Real Estate and International Trade.Aksoy carries its Oil & Energy activities via Turcas Petrol (BIST: TRCAS) and its subsidiaries. Turcas Petrol, with a history stretching back 88 years, is an oil and energy focused investment company that has subsidiaries holding leading positions in their sectors. Shell & Turcas Petrol, Turcas’ subsidiary in the fuel distribution and lubricants market operating a network of 1,014 Shell branded service stations nationwide, owning storage terminals, lubricants production and marketing activities, and a 2018 turnover of 33 billion TL, is not only a leader of its sector but also one of the largest enterprises of the Turkish economy. In the field of energy, Turcas and its German partner RWE commenced the 800 MW Denizli Natural Gas Combined Cycle Power Plant thanks to the 600 million € invested through their joint venture. Denizli Power Plant is capable of meeting 2% of Turkey’s power demand. Tourism & Real Estate is the second core sector of Aksoy Ventures. The group which owns the Conrad, Istanbul Bosphorus’s largest 5+ star hotel operated by Hilton, is now engaged in new real estate investments through The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Bodrum, Aksoy Maslak Real Estate Investments, and Aksoy Petrol Real Estate Investments.International Trade, third business unit of Aksoy Ventures, has a special focus on the distribution of branded lubricants in Iraq, Syria and other Middle Eastern and recently North African countries. Operations in this field are carried out by the fully-owned Aksoy International subsidiary and the Aksoy Middle East JV company.According to the consolidated financials of Aksoy Ventures, total assets reached 2.8 Billion TL and shareholders’ equity exceeded 666 Million TL by 2019-end while employing ca. 2,078 people. The title of Aksoy Holding A.Ş. was registered as Aksoy Girişimcilik Enerji ve Turizm A.Ş. on May 29, 2020.
