AWW oversees a diverse portfolio of airports, some with equity investment and others under a management-for-fee model. These airports include Atlantic City International, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International, Hollywood-Burbank, Middle Georgia Regional Airport & Macon Downtown Airport, Ontario International, Raleigh-Durham International; as well as Belfast International, Stockholm-Skavsta International and the Liberia airport in Costa Rica.

In 2002 the company was founded in the US under the name of ADC & HAS Airports Worldwide as an airport investment platform (equity operator) between Houston Airport System’s (HAS) development affiliate HAS Development Corporation and Airport Development Corporation (ADC).

In 2008, the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS) joined the venture as an equity provider after the acquisition of the equity interest in Costa Rica’s San Jose Airport. In October 1, 2013, the company was rebranded to Airports Worldwide after the acquisition of the Abertis Airports portfolio.

In April 26, 2018, Vinci acquired Airports Worldwide.
