In 2008, the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS) joined the venture as an equity provider after the acquisition of the equity interest in Costa Rica’s San Jose Airport. In October 1, 2013, the company was rebranded to Airports Worldwide after the acquisition of the Abertis Airports portfolio.In April 26, 2018, Vinci acquired Airports Worldwide.
