This huge increase in the number of businesses for sale will create a “buyer’s market,” and a business owner must begin planning for the sale of his company by improving its underlying value and appearance well in advance of placing the company on the market. Currently, eight of ten businesses offered for sale do not attract a buyer. This statistic will likely get worse as more and more companies are offered for sale.
