Founded in 1980, ACCEL (Arizona Centers for Comprehensive Education and Life-Skills) is a private, nonprofit special education program for individuals with special needs, ages 5-22 and adults ages 18 and over.
ACCEL provides innovative, individualized and comprehensive education, life skills, behavioral and transition services to students with a wide range of abilities and challenges including autism, intellectual disabilities, learning disorders, and emotional, physical and health impairments.
ACCEL School Programs consist of two campuses, as well as satellite classrooms on public school district campuses. These programs provide evidenced based practices in applied behavior analysis, structured teaching, as well as speech, occupational, and physical therapy services with assistive technology integrated into the classroom programs.
A functional life skills curriculum focusing on dignity, independence, and community skills for all students is a primary focus.
