About Wasatch Community Gardens

The mission of Wasatch Community Gardens (WCG) is to empower people to grow and eat healthy, organic, local food. Since 1989, WCG has served Salt Lake County residents with the vision of an inclusive, robust, and vibrant community that is nourished by healthy and affordable food. WCG offers garden space, educational programs, and community events to empower people to grow, harvest, prepare, and eat fresh, healthy food, as well as to build and nurture community connections. WCG oversees 16 community gardens, 11 school gardens, two youth teaching gardens, a community education demonstration garden, and a job training farm for women experiencing homelessness.
