Theta was founded in 1999 by banking and IT professionals with the belief that a world class banking system could be built in Asia by Asians. Armed with a combined 45 years of working experience in the banking industry and funding from Uniquare, the 5 founding pioneers embarked on developing one of the first loan origination systems for the needs of banks in Malaysia. Today, the Theta team has grown more than 10-fold, and its solution supports the entire life cycle of credit, from selling the loan through to disbursement and onto managing delinquent loans. From its base in Malaysia, Theta’s solutions and services have been provided to banks from Pakistan to Taiwan, and Theta is well on its way to being recognised by banks beyond Asia as a leading provider of credit workflow solutions.
