At The Bike Project, we refurbish secondhand bikes and donate them to refugees and asylum seekers in London and the West Midlands.
Since 2013, we have given over 8700 bikes to refugees and asylum seekers. With a bike, a refugee can access education, health and legal services, as well as the local community.
We also run Pedal Power, free cycling lessons for refugee women led by refugee women; and Bike Buddies, a befriending programme to match volunteers with bike recipients in their local community to help build cycling confidence.
