At The Bike Project, we refurbish secondhand bikes and donate them to refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK.
Since 2013, we have given over 8700 bikes. With a bike, a person can access vital services such as healthcare and legal advice, as well as having a link to their local community.
We also run engagement programmes like Pedal Power, free cycling lessons for refugee women led by refugee women; and Bike Buddies, a befriending programme to match volunteers with bike recipients.
