Swire Coca-Cola has the exclusive right to manufacture, market and distribute products of The Coca-Cola Company in 11 provinces and the Shanghai Municipality in Mainland China; as well as in Hong Kong, Taiwan and an extensive area of the western USA. Our 26 production facilities in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the USA produce and distribute over 60 beverage brands to more than 760 million people. The relationship with Coca-Cola began in 1965 with the acquisition by Swire of the majority shareholding in a Coca-Cola franchise in Hong Kong, a business known today as Swire Coca-Cola HK Ltd. Swire Pacific acquired the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Salt Lake City in 1978. Swire Coca-Cola employs over 32,000 people and generates annual revenues of HK$ 53.9 billion.
