Established in 1972, the South Australian Film Corporation (SAFC) is South Australia's lead agency for the development, support and promotion of the state's screen production sector, building and shaping the South Australian film industry for 50 years.
Our purpose is to support, position, and champion South Australian screen businesses to achieve creative excellence and prosperity, contributing to a robust South Australian economy and creative vibrancy.
The SAFC also manages Adelaide Studios, flexible, purpose-built screen production facilities located just five minutes from the CBD in Glenside, which have hosted a number of high profile projects since opening in 2011. They include feature films Mortal Kombat, 2067, I Am Mother, The Babadook, Hotel Mumbai and Storm Boy and TV drama series The Tourist and Firebite.
