Socionext was formed on March 1, 2015, from the merger of the LSI semiconductor business of Fujitsu and Panasonic. Socionext’s Headquarters are based In Yokohama, Japan and have offices in Japan, Asia, USA & Europe to lead its product development and sales activities. A new and innovative company, Socionext designs, develops and manufactures system-on-chip solutions for customers worldwide. The company focuses on technologies that drive today's leading-edge applications in automotive and industrial markets as well as advanced 5G networking. Combining first-class know-how, experience and an extensive IP portfolio Socionext is able to deliver exceptional solutions with guaranteed quality. Socionext’s image processing expertise and product offering cover a range of applications from image capture to encoding/decoding to image reproduction. In network technology, Socionext, through its worldwide leading data converter IP, has established a dominant market position in the optical network infrastructure environment by continually designing systems for current and future optical and wireless networks such as 5G technology. Socionext Europe GmbH (SNEU), the European subsidiary, plays an important role in the worldwide activities of the company. SNEU has its Headquarters in Langen near Frankfurt/Main and employs approx. 200 employees at 3 locations in Germany and UK. The Mixed Signal Design Center in Maidenhead (UK) focuses on advanced Data Converter Design and, working with the teams in Langen, offers unique solutions for customers worldwide. The Design Center in Munich adds an important contribution to the global business with its graphics solutions and developing graphic controllers for the automotive market and industry. Market analysis, product specification, hardware and software development, prototyping and evaluation board design are combined under one roof, so that SNEU can offer optimized solutions for a wide range of automotive and embedded environments.
