Shine TV was founded by Elisabeth Murdoch in 2001. After rapid organic growth, Shine TV is now established in the top tier of UK production companies and ranked fifth in 2011’s Broadcast Indie Survey, all in a year which also saw the company nominated for Indie of the Year both at the Broadcast Awards and the Edinburgh TV Festival Channel of the Year awards. Led by Chief Executive Henrietta Conrad, Shine TV is a multi-genre company creating and producing popular, compelling and quality Entertainment, Features, Factual, Specialist Factual and Drama programming from offices in London, Manchester and Cardiff. Shine TV is home to many domestic and international hits including MasterChef (BBC), Merlin (BBC) and The Biggest Loser (ITV1), Got To Dance (Sky 1HD) and The Magicians (BBC).
